February is traditionally a month of love, but as you’ve read from all my content this month, I like to share more about heartbreak and jealousy and rage. It’s FUN!
I process my hurt Taylor Swift style. A bit spiteful and revengeful but mysterious… you just have to guess which lover it is. Only thing is - I don’t have any A-list exes or Super Bowl Champion QB boyfriends.
Here is a short but searing piece dedicated to an ex - enjoy!
JELLYFISH ENERGY
I recently learned that jellyfish can’t be in regular fish tanks because they’ll get stuck in a corner and rip themselves apart, or get sucked into the infiltration system. Yikes!
I feel like if you spent time alone, you’d also put yourself in a corner and rip yourself apart - are you scared of yourself the way people are scared of deep sea creatures? Is that why you can’t be alone?
Jellyfish usually stay afloat with ocean currents, and need circular flow of water to keep them in suspension…
They also have no brains!!! Or heart or bones or blood. They’re 95% water. MIND-BLOWING. They are basically water inside water *stoner thoughts*

Not having a nervous system is insane. It got me thinking about being a jellyfish.
There are parts of it that sound amazing - letting the water hold you, swirling around with the current wherever it wants to take you that day. The ocean chooses your adventure - no planning. No reservations. No thinking. No independence or drive.
Just exist and something (or someone) else will take care of you. This dynamic sounds familiar.
BUT…they don’t seem to command attention in a powerful way. They don’t get a lot of choice in where they go, what they react to, or what they want to invest their time and energy into.
They just float from current to current, like a breeze underwater. They’re spineless and brainless and just… there. A bit pointless really, despite some contributions to marine life.
It’s crazy how much you and jellyfish have in common.
