I don't want to be 1% better every day

Using a Mario Kart inspired strategy instead

This is to all the Tonys, Andrews, Tims, Jordans, Marks, and Joes - I’m done being 1% better every day. I’m sick of it. Stop contacting me. I’m blocking your number.

First of all, how do you even track being 1% better every day? Are you done when you hit 100 (the max)? Are you ever SATISFIED? Or do you spend your entire life self-flagellating hoping one day you’ll hit the pearly white gates that lead to a lush oasis of FULLY SELF-IMPROVED LAND? And then what? Do you realize how absolutely ridiculous constantlyyyy improving is? It leads to a cycle of never feeling good enough and always thinking you’re behind.

Listen - I’m a full blown Wellness Girl. I gratitude journal every day. Green smoothies with chia seeds and protein powder are my norm, as well as ingesting 5+ supplements a day. I drink water with electrolytes. Saunas and ice baths are in my weekly rotation. I exercise often. Therapy is non-negotiable. My point? I was on the Wellness Bullet Train for so long that I never realized where or when it stopped. With just ooooneeee more juice, pill, or powder, I thought I would reach the pinnacle of wellness and improvement, and then just chill. It would be my new norm. I could finally relaxxx. Surely that’s what all this work is for, right?

But that’s now how this industry works. One trend fades, another one violently pops up. It’s like whack-a-mole, but the arcade is missing. The prize isn’t a big stuffed animal - it’s a never-ending conveyor built of new strategies, tools, kits, and programs that you NEED to try. Now. NOW. NOWWWW!

This vlog is a vent about the 1% better every day method, and why after being an avid fan of it, I’m now ready to put it 6 feet under and send out an obituary. R.I.P!

I have a new method for 2025 - one I used to use back in the day - and it’s 10x more fun, easier to pay attention to, and not miserable ;) Enjoy!
